no, HIV and AIDS are caught directly. when an STI is caught you may not realise you have it until you get tested, such a chlymidia many people do not realise thet it could have happened to them. people may notice small bumps/lumps/spots on and around the genitil area this could be a common rash like thrush but it can also cause infection if not treated. people should get cheked immmediately after unprotected sex just in case. as for time to cure, it all depends on your body's reaction to the antibiotics it could take up to 4-6 weeks sometimes one month
