AIDS stands for Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome. Which is caused by infection with a virus called human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This virus is passed from one person to another through blood-to-blood and sexual contact. In addition, infected pregnant women can pass HIV to their babies during pregnancy or delivery, as well as through breast-feeding. People with HIV have what is called HIV infection. Some of these people will develop AIDS as a result of their HIV infection.

And how harmful the virus is; this smart virus infect our immune system. The patients were noted to have a severe reduction of a type of cell in the blood that is an important part of the immune system, called CD4 cells. These cells, often referred to as T cells, help the body fight infections.

T-cells are a type of white blood cell (leukocyte) that belongs to a division of the immune system called the acquired immune system. This is the part of the immune system that learns to combat invading bacteria and viruses (pathogens) through exposure to them. The leukocytes that belong to the acquired immune system are called lymphocytes and have receptors on their surface that recognise broken down protein fragments, called antigens, by binding with them. Antigens can be derived either from invading pathogens or, in the case of autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, from cells of one's own body.

The job of T-cells is to detect cells in the body that are internally infected with viruses and bacteria. They do this by sampling the contents of cells. Two types of T-cells sample different populations of cells and take different action when they detect a antigen. These are the "killer" or cytotoxic (CD8+) T-cells and the "helper" (CD4+) T-cells. The CD8+ and CD4+ describe the types of receptors that each carries. A third type of T-cell called a "suppressor" T-cell also uses the CD8+ receptor.

So, when T-cell was infected, we had totally no immune to any other infection. So, that鈥檚 no cure not because of the so call smart people go to study law. In fact, the world top reserch was trying to understand the structure included the T-cell.

And may be, the one who can find the cure for the AIDs, he might had to able to understand the stem cell, in which whole world was looking towards. And this guy, quite likely win the novel in mechine and physiology as well

The HIV virus that causes AIDS mutates easily. Currently, there are no cures nor prevention for viruses; except in this case, abstinence or safety is still the best way of not acquiring the disease. If it's a bacteria infection, it can be controlled by taking antibiotics.
Even the Bird flu virus that's currently making it's way round the world has still no cure. The only way to prevent it from spreading is to cull all birds within a 2km radius. Hopefully this will be sufficient to contain the disease as much as possible.

AIDS is more like a cold virus and they haven't found a cure for that either. From what I understand, it's pretty complicated, but they do have hope. One thing to know is AIDS is very very preventable. a lot more then other viruses are. I don't know if this answers your question as I'm not sure about all the other things you said and how it relates to AIDS, but I tried.

Any problems can be solved, its just that the time is not here yet. Not true that the best want to study Law, not true that the average student end up in Science and Medicine, reason is because there is no definitive meaning to what is best here. What is it based on, exam results? achievements? salary?

Because the virus continues to change as its in the body thats why people get "cocktail drugs" because they have to use different types and amount to keep it under control... what we should really do is stop sleeping around if we dont want to get AIDS... I feel really bad for the kids who get it from their parents but if you get it because you sleep around then dont be so surprised and expect it because it will eventually happen!
