Do the doctors keep their patients always under fear? for life long medication?

They say there is no cure for most of the diseases like diabetes, BP, hear ailments, cancer, aids and mental illness etc etc. The patient is always kept under medication.
Is it one way to keep up the buiness by pharma industry?

Metabolic disorders are complicated conditions. Allopathy strives to prolong life with the least humanly possible inconvenience.
Allopathy ensured malaria/filaria/plague/polio/cholera,etc eradication/control Epidemics are under control. They can outbeat death, in some specific cases, like heart ailments, kidney transplantations, trauma care, fractures, deliveries to protect mother and the new born, cancer related surgeries, etc.
Even the critics of allopathy have to join a nursing home/hospital for survival under emergencies. No other system can rescue a person than allopathy. People started living longer by virtue of allopathy. longevity has increased considerably.
like any other system, allopathy also strives to find out cure for all diseases. for chronic diseases, allopathy has limitations.
whereas, alternative systems of medicine, ayurveda, unani, sidha, homoeo and yoga therapies have wonderful solutions for chronic disease conditions. in hyderabad, apollo, care, swapna nursing home kamineni institute of medical sciences and certain other nursinghomes are
slowly appreciating the efficacy of alternative medicine.
If all the indian allopaths adapt alternative systems, they can, not only treat indian patients with the least side effects; but also the patients from all over the world.there will be flood of foreign tourists into indian nursing homes, hospitas and clinics. Adaption of alternative systems shall act as spring board of popularity and the patients attacking hospitals and medical bills shall be brought to bare
minimum.
For allopaths, as and when they find severe side affects [which are worse than disease related complications and sufferings]; they must silently avoid to prescribe such drugs without getting tempted to huge cash incentives. insuch situations, they can think of alternative medicine, which is very easy for them to study and adapt into their prescription pads. then the scope patient's frustrations, and comcomitant attacks shall be under check.
if a diabetic can have restriced diet and some exercise, one can lead a normal life even without medication. u want sweets, alcohol, rice and all tastyfoods, then u have to pay for that.
Business interests of pharma companies can't be ruled out.

On the contrary , if a doctor tells you there is a cure for diabetes ,he is probably lying but if a doctor tells you that some diseases may not have complete cure but the patient needs lifelong management with drugs to increase the quality of life and prolong life ,trust the doctor , he is not lying.

It is true doctors make their living out of disease and suffering, but it is the nature of their profession.Medical professionals take a Hippocratic oath before they start their practice and and practise their profession with ethics and a code of conduct. Any advice they give you will be evidence based and according to current medical practices.

I don't think it's a way for docs to keep the pharmacutical business going. Most of the diseases you mention do need to be medicated, but I have also known many people to reverse diabetes and hypertension with losing weight.

As for AIDS, mental illnesses and cancer, they do need to be medicated/treated, and can be terminal depending on the severity of the condition.

No, sometimes doctors tell white lies for the betterment of their patients. Some diseases-can not be cured fully-they can be controlled by medication-yoga,or physio therapy etc. Controlling diet habits and regulating life-style can controll the severity of the illness. Don't blame the doctors--They point out the consequences of some diseases without taking the medicines.

Doctors are considered equal to God, since theier motive is to save LIFE.
Certain diseases have no permanent cure.
