LGBT: I want your advice...?

Ok, I need to choose a career.
I have always wanted to be a doctor, However, I am in America & its a Capitalist country, & I agree with Socialized Medicine.
Should I still go into Medicine, (I want to either be a Cardiologist, Or a Cardiac Surgeon)
I mean, I will get alot of money, But I will feel guilty that people are more or less paying for there life. But I can also donate money to a good cause. Like AIDs Research, or to fina a cure for cancer...
I don't know what to do. If you had to make this decision what would you choose?

I'm a Socialist in a Capitalist Country =(

Also I do know that this is in the LGBT Section.

Most doctors I know support Socialized Medicine, including my aunt, a nurse. The Medicare for All Act, which would create a nationalized healthcare system, is endorsed by 14,000 doctors across the country and several medical associations and co-sponsored by 90 congressmen.

Personally, I think you should go for it. We need more doctors in the field who see the benefits of Single-Payer Healthcare because it will make the idea more and more credible. Not only can you make a lot of money, but you can use it and your passion for healthcare to make change happen.

Besides, as a doctor, you'll have the power to make a difference. As a stand against the horrid for-profit Capitalist system by doing pro bono work and taking on patients with no insurance or who can't afford the costs. It might seem small to just give free or cheap care to a few people, but with the butterfly effect, that small difference really can change the world.

Now that you know where it is that you are at, I encourage you to become a doctor and then you could go and work for the poor and help with your knowledge. There are also many charitable organizations you could assist with your talent.

Work at a free clinic. The best of both worlds. You get paid a decent amount and you can help people who are most in need.
