Is there really a cure for OCD? |
I was diagnoised with Pure Obsessional OCD when I was in the 8th grade. I've seen numerous psychologists and been told dozens of different techniques on how to over come these intrusive thoughts. I'm on 2 antidepressants, with one working as a sleeping aid. I want to try and get myself off the medication before I become somewhat, dependent on them. Cure or no cure? There is no discernible cure for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder... but there is excellent treatment for it. When it comes to OCD, the focus shouldn't be on the medication more than it is on therapy. Anti-depressants have been found to help OCD, but seeing a therapist will get down to the root of the issue, rather than putting a band-aid over it. A number of years ago, which would put me in my early twenties, I was diagnosed with regular OCD. I had some weird symptoms that disturbed me. Guess what? Now I'm 31 and I haven't any of those OCD symptoms in a very long time. The symptoms disappeared on their own. My best friend has this exact thing. She doesn't have any medication but she find counceling to work really well for her. no, none whatsoever, get used to it .If youre silly enough to take antidepressants, then you are always going to have problems. Free yourself from earthly concerns and go to a peaceful and carefree place, pure countryside, artlessness people, etc. NO There is a cure for everyhing. You only have to find it and you will not find it if you do not experiment. You will never know if you do not try. |
