I think i have a idea for the cure for aids, but i just thought of it?

k, do you think this would be a cure for aids.

K, you have a extra blood, the same type of your blood, in a pouch thing. You make sure that the extra blood doesnt have the virus in it. Then you start taking the blood out of you, with a ivy thing or something, and then you pump in the extra blood in the body with another ivy thing.

So it will be like you taking out the bad blood and putting good blood in the body. Would this work?

Do you think this might work, and stop aids for good?

Why is it so difficult to cure AIDS?
Curing AIDS is generally taken to mean clearing the body of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. The virus replicates (makes new copies of itself) by inserting its genetic code into human cells, particularly a type known as CD4 cells. Usually the infected cells produce numerous HIV particles and die soon afterwards. Antiretroviral drugs interfere with this replication process, which is why the drugs are so effective at reducing the amount of HIV in a person鈥檚 body to extremely low levels. During treatment, the concentration of HIV in the blood often falls so low that it cannot be detected by the standard test, known as a viral load test.

Unfortunately, not all infected cells behave the same way. Probably the most important problem is posed by 鈥渞esting鈥?CD4 cells. Once infected with HIV, these cells, instead of producing new copies of the virus, lie dormant for many years or even decades. Current therapies cannot remove HIV鈥檚 genetic material from these cells. Even if someone takes antiretroviral drugs for many years they will still have some HIV hiding in various parts of their body. Studies have found that if treatment is removed then HIV can re-establish itself by leaking out of these 鈥渧iral reservoirs鈥?

A cure for AIDS must somehow remove every single one of the infected cells.

I'm sorry to shoot down your idea, but no.Because what i think is that when hospitals drain blood from the body, they don't drain 100% of it, or the person would die. They drain about 98% of blood when performing blood tranfusions, but the virus still resides int the body. so in order for your idea to work, i think there would have to be some type of enzyme or protein introduced to the body to neutralize that minimal virus, then introduce the new blood. but i'm no doctor, and they've probably already thought of it, and tested it.

Well me, personally, I believe that the only cure for AIDS is abstinence. I'm happy you're trying, but I don't believe there will ever be a cure. As long we keep ourselves healthy, then we'll be okay. We can really only worry about ourselves because others will always be careless and have unprotected sex. It's being spread all day every day. But thanks for trying, you're a good person.

It won't work because your blood goes through ur organs so they are already infected, so the new blood will just get reinfected, and you can't replace all of ur organs and your body tissue and stuff, but i asked that same question a couple years ago, great minds think alike LOL!

No. That would not work at all. AIDS is not just in your blood, it's in your entire body. Don't you think that if that would work, someone would have thought of that by now, and why blood transfusions wouldn't be so dangerous?

Once you have aids... it's all over your blood. There is no extra blood without the aids in it. The blood that the heart pumps will have the aids. There's nothing you can do to stop it.

no, when you have aids it means your white blood cell count has dropped below 200. it weakens your immune system so you can die of any sickness.

no, the good blood would get infected.

I thought about that once when I was a kid but it wouldn't work.

geoff you are a genius , go to the nearest gay hospital straight away and tell them what you have found

I see a profession in the medical field waiting for you!!! uh.....no

I wish it it was that EZ, No it will not work.

no

lol no....sorry.. try again
