To be honest, I think rich people should have money taken a way from them...they do not need all that money...
I do agree that it is your money you worked hard for but...that's like me saying if you won 1million dollars, would you spend it all on your self?
Well i think most people would say yes, and few would say no and they will spend it on charity and for the poor, and even for those who said they will...i bet half l forget about the poor and think about it themselves...i think this country turned into a greedy and selfish once...and i do feel at times im one of those...
and u see people getting mad because they dont even do anything to help the community...
if you r rich and u pay a lot to the poor and w/e then/ good for u =D but what about the many rich who don't?
well obama is taking it a way for those who wont and how many people do you think we will be helping when we use ur money on the poor, and maybe it will also go to cures for cancers and aids =D
p.s. justin casee i think i heard a few people saying obama will give the money back and more aff the next year, is that true? just woundering.... actually yes i do, 5% of it every pay day I disagree with Obama's plan.

They do not need all that money. Who decides what a family "needs"? If the government will only allow a family to keep the money that the government decides they "need" and seizes the rest, isn't that the same thing as saying that the fruits of a person's labor does not belong to the person but rather to the government?
I think that the money that I earn is mine, not the government's to distribute to whoever they want. I am the person who has gotten an education. I am the person who actually does the work. I am the person that earns my money. Shouldn't the fruits of my own labors be mine to decide what I will do with it?
I respect your freedom to decide how you want to spend the money that you earn. Can I have the same respect in return?
Between my FICA, medicare, state taxes, city taxes, local school taxes, excise taxes, capital gains taxes, taxes on my utility bills, gas taxes, property taxes, and sales taxes, the government gets about 50% of all of the money that I earn already. That's half. I am the one who takes college courses to keep up on my field, I am the one who actually works yet the government gets as much wealth as I do for my effort. Why should the government get as much of my earnings as I do?
As a citizen in a free country, do I work for my benefit or does the fruits of my labor automatically belong to the government? Regardless of the effort that I put into my career, should I only receive whatever the government decides that I "need"?
If I see someone on a street corner with a sign saying that he is hungry, I can choose to give him some of my own money. But is it really fair if I see the man and then walk over to a well-dressed stranger and force him to give money to the man with the sign? That would be the same as mugging him. I would be depriving him of his freedom of choice. I believe that my freedom to choose should be respected so I want to respect his freedom to choose also. What right do I have to force a stranger to give away his money against his will? I see nothing wrong with encouraging him to give but I'm not going to take his money (and his freedom to choose for himself) away from him.
I disagree with the whole "sharing the wealth" idea. I think that taxes should be the same percent for everyone. That doesn't mean that everyone will pay the same dollar amount--just the same percentage of their income. To me, that's fair. you must be a democrat.
They currently get taxed about 35% of what they make and what do you get taxed? Probably nothing in fact you probably get money that you didn't even pay in. Like unearned income. Am I right? Do you give your extra money in your return to the poor then? All I know is, I can tell from your grammar that you will never have to worry about getting rich. Just sit back and let 'bama take care of you. Don't tax you, don't tax me, tax that fellow behind the tree. |
