Development is taking place at such a fast rate, still thr is no cure for aids,why?

The HIV virus has a very fast mutation rate - it changes all the time, just like the flu virus. That is why it is so hard to prevent. Also, viruses are made up of RNA (or DNA) and protein, all molecules we have too, so it is hard to make a drug that only works on the virus and not on human cells.

HIV (virus that can lead to AIDS) mutates frequently and rapidly. Any medication or vaccine that is developed may kill or prevent one or 2 mutations, but not all of them.
