Does progesterone help for Chronic Insomnia?

Anyone had experience supplementing their progesterone levels in order to treat severe, chronic, Insomnia? Chronic Insomnia is a condition whereby you can't sleep AT ALL without the aid of medication. Can anyone tell me if it improved / cured their Chronic Insomnia.
