Ladies, if man found the cure to AIDS today, would people's "sex" lives be out of control ?

I think it is safe to say yes. I mean, if we had the cure to AIDS
announced right now, there would be a big party all over the land.
Especially the porn and prostition industry. You think it is outrageous
now, when someone has unprotected sex, and there are many people
who STILL do, believe it or not. Just imagine that, no more AIDS.
The teens would just go completely insane, I mean it would be
a madhouse. Not to mention all of those politicians out here buying
all of the women that they can buy. There would be less precautions,
and more affairs than ever. What do you think ladies ? If we found
the cure to AIDS, what would life be like ? Of course they do have
it as we speak, and may release this information in the near future.
However, it is top secret for now, due to diabolical and economic reasons. Anyway, if we found the cure to AIDS today, would people's
sex lives be out of control.................. Let's talk.

Yes. Look at the sexual free-for-all we've got going on today, and that is with the risk of AIDS being a reality. If there was no more risk it would be even worse. People have no self-control anymore.

I disagree, many people just have high moral standards and don't participate in promiscuous sex, AIDS or no AIDS. Also, many people want to avoid pregnancy and other STD's. Also, AIDS is one of those things that people seem to worry about the least (ironic I know, considering that it's the worst out there) I hear more people worrying about pregnancy and getting herpes than AIDS.

Probably before many of your time, but the 70's and even early 80's did not have the fear of AIDs and the sexual lifestyle was simply far less complicated.
There was nothing "out of control" about it.
My pecker never fell off , her beaver never exploded, things were just less serious and much more open and fun.

No. There are still loads of STDs:

-syphilis
-gonorrhea
-chlamydia
-pelvic inflammatory diseases
-herpes
-hepatitis
-crabs

and there's still pregnancy to deal with

and why is this question directed towards women?

No. Look at the 40s, no known aids then.

There are still the herps and stuff.

Plus, some people don't have sex because of their beliefs not just because of AIDS LOL!

I don't think so. It'll be like, "Yay, we don't have AIDS, just...herpes, syphilis (which can blind and/or kill you and your unborn child), genital warts..."etc.

I think if every single STD could be cured as well as AIDS, it would. AIDS may be a death sentence, but STDs are spread through sex more so than AIDS.

People would then have one other thing that bothers them now, off their minds. "

Hey, we have a pill ! Not to worry ! Let's do it !! "

fear of HIV isn't the only reason people abstain from casual sex

AIDS isn't a death sentence: I have had HIV for ten years and I am healthier now than I have ever been. Doc specialist says he doesn't think AIDS will get me but smoking could. I was technically diagnosed with full blown AIDS because my CD4 count went as low as 90.

My CD4 is now 500+ and my viral load is undetectable. The once a day meds are powerful and have no side effects

I have a normal life expectancy - or I would if I completely quit smoking. AIDS doesn't affect it.

We have condoms which prevent condoms. Most people are having sex and don't get Aids, because of protection. So the Aids problem comes from people not using protection. The reason there is some caution is because as long as women can get pregnant, there's going to be some caution relative to going all out, full bore and STDS.

STDS aren't as big of a deal as the death sentence of AIDs, but umm, your sex life ruined seems like a pretty big deal and big enough reason for people to not have sex like crazy or use caution. Herpes and genital warts are uncurable and they can still be spread with medication, so you basically can't have sex anymore. How about that for a thought, so caution will still be used, until there is a cure and complete prevention for STDS as well.

Syphillis can cause serious things if not detected like one person said. And on top of that, for women, I can't remember the name of the STD, but there's one type where it causes women to have cervical cancer, so that is pretty serious if you ask me.

People do fear Herpes and STDs more than AIDS, so that fear would not go away. The reason there is more fear, is because even though AIDS is deadlier, from all I've know, if the person is wearing a condom and people have been wearing condoms, AIDS hasn't come up. It's in africa where mass rape happens and protection isn't used, where the spread of AIDS happens. Whereas, even with a condom a person can still get Herpes and genital warts, the two uncurable one's of all things.
