i'm doing this model un thing, it's a three day conference and is a lot of fun. I'm the Palestinian delegate for health (i know palestine technically isn't a country) what can i say?

so far i have: please send more aid including doctors because no doctors want to hang around here for long. And: could you please stop israel from blockading us because then we don't get the drugs we need. help.

Or, you could say: "We the Arab Squatters in Jewish Palestine (it was part of Israel when Rome named it 'palestine') renounce violence and terrorism and just want to get along. We'll prove it by setting off no more bombs, launching no more missiles into Israel, by no more preaching hatred in the mosque. We will become productive, good and caring neighbors, will work hard to better ourselves and do right by all people around us regardless of religion. In return, all we ask is that you agree to give back to us what we now promise to give to you. Peace.

I am serious! The greatest health problem the 'palestinians' face is their own culture of violence. It deters others from wanting to help them at all! As you mention, doctors don't want to stick around. What proposal can hope to succeed when Palestinians work so hard to drive away those who might be willing to help. The Palestinians won't take care of their own problems, either. They have got the UN refugee camp mentality that someone else has to provide solutions to them. They are taught to be victims instead of to stand up, do the right thing, solve their own problems in a constructive manner.

Get to the core of the problem. Then health care, education and prosperity will follow.
