Would water filters remove the sodium flouride content from tap water?

For a while now I have been concerned with the health risks attributed to this toxic waste passed off as a dental aid "sodium flouride" in the water supply, does filtering do any good to remove it?

Ontop of that they found traces of many prescription drugs in the water supply too, check your news it made headlines already...

The best system for removing flouride is a reverse osmosis system. Brita systems do not remove flouride - they remove chlorine and not much else. As far as pharmacuticals are concerned - the book is still out on that. I believe that alot of pharmacuticals can be removed by reverse osmosis, but extensive testing in the industry for every drug has not been done yet, so until we know, it will be hard to know what's in our water.

Yes, the Brita water filter eliminates quite a lot of things in the water.

hell yeah, I got me a "pur" walter filter pitcher. My water tastses so much better , and I feel better. You also should get a shower head filter. Those toxins can be absobred through skin too, and your skin wont be as dry

Yes, filters will remove fluoride. Just make sure it removes chlorine and it will also remove fluoride. However, be sure to use a fluoride rinse in your routine to keep your teeth strong.

No no no no no! Those people are totally wrong about brita's or pur's removing fluoride (or rather fluorine) from the water! The only way ro remove it is by using reverse osmosis.

The only reason they found pharmaceuticals in the water is because they now have the analytical chemistry to "see" them in smaller amounts. I'm not saying it's bad, but I think it was a case of just not being able to look before.
