Christians: Can you give me advice, prayer and encouragement about what to do about this?

I live in a country that is poor, not having enough jobs available and have corruption rampant in the government, police force, army,pastors and among normal everyday citizens. And whose people has access to illegal guns easily that even children as young as five own guns and kill adults.

1. The police can't get the guns from the bad guys because they have guns the police don't have. (Some bad police also give the gunmen guns, money, drugs etc)

2. Ordinary citizens can't learn to try and handle a gun because if an ordinary citizen owns a gun, the gunmen will target them by killing them and taking away their guns.

3. The death penalty is a 'no no' as the constitution is against it and it is difficult to usurp it.

4. Can't treat gunmen as the Saudis because human rights organizations would cause a lot of problems and we won't get foreign aid and support from certain powerful countries (which we need)

5.The ruler of our country says that only God can help us because he cannot do anything

6. The country can't be nuke because a lot of good citizens live there including myself.

7. Me and my entire family almost got killed by gunmen 2 times already even though we have NEVER been involved in anything illegal

8. The gunmen also kill babies, pregnant women and little children, old women etc

I am sorry for you. I can only suggest for you to try and find a Peace corps. near you to find refuge. Maybe try to get out of the county by jumping the border. Y'all will be in my prayers.
