Elderly mother is making bad decisions?

my sister does 100 dollars a day cocaine. for some reason my mother will only let her handle her bills. since my sister is doing drugs, my mother is getting eviction notices, her aid service is jepordy of being cut off, and she has nothing to eat some times. her jewerly has dissapeared, her stock in an insurance company has disapeared. i am the oldest. i live out of town. when we tell my mother what our sister is doing all my mother does is defend. we need help. my mother is beyond alert for her age. my sister also disuades my mother from trying to attempt to get out of her wheel chair and walk, whivh her doctors says that she can do.

sit down and talk with your mother away from your sister and give her a reality check about what's going on. suggest that she buy a new house/apartament away from your sister because sister needs to get a hold of herself. being on her own might wake her up. if that doesn't work try talking to senior abuse or something, your mother needs to get out of that situation. good luck.

Call Elder abuse and report her. It's a shame that family do that to the older generation.

wow ! sounds like you sister needs a reality check in life, if your mother is that bad off then why not talk to her doctor and see if maybe theres any advise they can offer, maybe takeing her to your house or seeing to it that she has someone to protect her from harms way (your sister) theres homes for the elderly even home health care nurses that come to your home to take care of whatever needs to be done , if you are the oldest then put your foot down and take charge shes your mother too

D= you need to call the police! your mother may die! you need to get help for your sister! when your sister is well dont you think she would comit suicide if she found her mother dead because of her?? you need to do this! call the poloice! it is ilegal to do drugs!!! NOW I AM MAKING YOU!!!

Hire an Attorney and get power of Attorney now over your mother's estate. Tell the attorney of your sisters issues, and let him handle it in court, you may make her mad, but in the end you will know you did the right thing, your mom would not have let some take advantage of you!
