Do the people of Massachusetts owe the rest of America an apology, for Teddy?

Any time I have spoken to someone from Mass, I ask them how they continue to vote for Ted Kennedy?

Teddy's past is indefensible- his cheating in college, his alcoholism, hard drug abuse, adultry, womanizing, displaying his true character by leaving the scene af an accident, to sober up (felony manslaughter) supporting IRS terrorists, covering up the rape of his nephew, spawning further generations of deadbeat low-class Irish mafia thugs....

The constant excuse people from MASS make is the amount of pork that Teddy manipulates from the federal goverment, to steer to the good people of Mass.

Are the people of Mass guilty of selfishness, electing a social reprobate to hog more than their fare share of federal aid? (or should I say the re-distribution of wealth- other people's money).

Hey, I'm from here and I mostly agree with you. Except on one point: I ain't seen so much as a chop from all that extra pork. Somebody needs to check fat-boy's pockets. He comes from a long line of criminals.(including his "sainted" brother JFK.) I've been voting against him every time he actually had an opponent, and writing in names of people I respect when he doesn't, for years now. Unfortunately, he bears THE NAME in American politics: Kennedy. There's not much we can do about him. Maybe the cirrhosis of the liver will finally get him. Or will the booze just preserve him?

Everytime I see him on the news getting all red and pissed off about some issue and blaming others for their criminal ways I just laugh and wonder why the republicans don't just slam him and force him out of office.

I never voted for him. He keeps getting elected mainly because a lot of elderly people vote for him because he is John F Kennedy's brother. Also a lot of people here have loyalty to the Democratic party because there parents were Democrats, even if they are not liberals.

Deadbeat Irish? Most Irish here work and own there own businesses and if anything rarely ever get divorced unlike the south where your own pastors get caught with prostitutes.

Most crime here is committed by minorities and they get all the social services while whites never get any social services but fund them all with there taxes. The politicians are scared they will be called racist so they let this crap continue.

It is a huge cospriacy, Mary Jo Kopechne was a republican and she was about to turn Ted Kennnedy into a republican on that night when she was murdered. The ranking brass of the dems got word of this and setup Kennedy with the death of Mary Jo. They keep him sedated with horse traquilizers and keep him in office to keep an eye on him. Ted still regrets that night but he is to adicted to the pills and continues to chase the dragon. It isnt the people of Mass. that owe an apology it is every dem out there, that looks the other way when Ted criticizes another senator of for that matter any homeless drunkard, of which he has no right to judge. The Kennedy legacy could have been something for the ages now all it is documentation on a hotel mini bar receipt.
