What are these acne-strip things called and where do i get them??

I saw on TV a few years ago little strips that the dirt inside your pores would stick to when you pulled it off. It's like a band-aid, only you'd stick it to your skin (on your face) and keep it on for a while, and then when you pulled it off, all the dirt in your skin would come off too. I haven't seen them around in a long time and I was wondering if they still make them and if they work. I was also wondering where i could buy them. I haven't actually LOOKED for them, but I haven't noticed them in drug stores.

Do they sell them in normal drug stores though??

I really DON'T reccomend using those. I've learned that those strips actually make your pores BIGGER. When it gets bigger, you'll have more of a chance of clogged pores and it will be very visible then.

Yes, they do sell them in stores, but please don't buy them. I wanted to once, and I asked the same question. Thank god one person told me the truth. I went to look it up and found out it was true! If you want to clean your pores, I reccomend using WARM soapy water and gently scrubbing your whole face for about 30 secs. When you are finished, use cold water to rinse. The warm water helps open the pore so you can clean deeper and the cold water helps close your pores.

There is also another solution..buy Clearasil acne control. It's those pore cleansing pads that you wipe on your entire face. It's one of the "on the go" things that if for some reason your face is oily, and you have no place to wash it, all you got to do it pull that out. It's cheap, not expensive. They are very helpful and got rid of mine in 3 days. They are about 6 dollars, but bring at least 7-8 dollars including tax. Get them in regular stores in the skin section (CVS, Rite Aid, etc.)

They still make them, one company called them clear pore strips. Not for daily use, but they're like you remember; a strip you put on wet skin, let dry for a bit and RIIIIIP off it comes tearing out little bits of waxy junk stuck in your pores.

Stubborn blackheads still need to come out the old fashioned way, but it reduces a lot of the squeezing and clears stuff out before it becomes too huge and hideous.
