鈾he high school I'm going to go to is crazy?????

I'm so freakin scared to go to high school! The high school I'm attending next year is crazy. 35% of the kids there have aids and HIV and there are always fight and one time...I hear a rumor that a kids was murdered there but thats stupid because if it was true...it would be on the news and thats a rumor.

But.....they do sell drugs there and I'm scared of peer pressure and everything!Last year....they shuted down the school because they THOUGHT someone had a gun. What should I do???? I cant go to another high school either.

The best thing to do is rise above it. Study your a** off, work hard and pay attention despite any classroom disturbances. Ask you parent(s) to become involved in the PTA to help give the teachers the support they need to teach their students more effectively. Become friends with your teachers, and actively participate in class discussions both in class and outside of it. If teachers notice you showing interest, they will help you along. Get involved in community -building activities, like food drives, student government, and even AIDS education programs.

Be your own person. If you are strong on the inside you will be able to fight peer pressure. Don't touch drugs, no matter how good your friends can make it seem. Don't have sex until you are out of high school, regardless of how much you may like the guy. Just look on the street corner at the crack whores and your neighbor girl who had 4 kids before she's 18, and that should give you plenty of strength to fight back.
There have been a lot of people who became successful after a 'hood education, and it wasn't because they skated by...

Students CAN succeed if they give themselves the tools, and I had college classmates who were proof of this! One young man I knew had a mother who died of a cocaine overdose, and a dad who was in jail. He graduated top of his class in a school w/ a 75% dropout rate, and got his master's degree in economics... He was the teaching assistant for my college statistics class, and was a very strong person. He always said, "If you want it, no one will just give it to you. You have to get up and get it for yourself..."

I think all schools have druggies and theres nothign you can do to stop it just stick with the good group and dont make any bad choices. If you are scared of peer pressure dont put yourself in the position where you would have to give in

I think all high schools these days are crazy to some extent, but if you're really that scared of everything, talk to your parents about it.

Not everyone that is going there is necessarily a bad kid, so just choose your friends wisely, there are probably other people feeling just as nervous as you are believe me! Be strong and dont give in to peer pressure. Dont do anything you are uncomfortable with and, if they are your true friends, they will accept it when you say "no" and wont pressure you further. most schools are crazy these days. maybe you can make one or two friends while you are there but mostly its best to just keep to yourself and then you won't have any problems. if you are talking to someone that brings up drugs you can politely excuse yourself. this whole country is wrecked.

my guess is ...don't have sex with anyone there and don't do IV drugs. wear a bullet proof vest. Don't talk to anyone.

oh your high school is nothing. my high school is insane. first of all its a new high school and all the druggies got kicked out of another high school nearby so they all transferred over to my school. last year a girl was arrested because she was going to come and shoot people from different parts of the campus so now she's on house arrest. theres tons of fights and drug busts and we have a tons of goths and emo's. if you think your future high school is crazy you have no idea. spend a day at basha high school in chandler arizona and your opinion will change
