Hello fellow law enforcement officer please respond to this!!!?

I would love to join in the law enforcement career like a sheriff deputy or a game warden but there is one big problem Im hearing impaired!!! 85% loss in both ears and I wear digital hearing aids that helps me hear nearly 100% so is it possable to happen how do you join in the law enforement world? I love helping people and keeping guns, drugs and criminals off the streets. I live in Texas. Thanks!!!

Unfortunately, your hearing impairment will probably keep you off the job, but I don't know everything. I'm sure there are jobs within the Law Enforcement community that you would be able to do. Just start checking websites in your area. Ask a lot of questions, and make a lot of calls. Something has to work out. Don't give up, and good luck.

I don't think u could be a cop it is one of the hardest jobs in the world and i think your just out to make a weed bust this video below will change your life, its about the head of the D.E.A and his life as a law enforcement officer. he is also a very close friend of mine.

Go to the personnel department and ask for a list of requirements to be hired as an officer. Ask about the physical.

I love your attitude. I have personally seen instances where an interpretor for the deaf would be very helpful.
Do you use ASL?
It is vitally important for everyone to be able to communicate especially in a crisis or stress situation. Every law enforcement agency should have someone that can interpret for all ethnicities, as well as the deaf or hearing impaired.
Often an interpretor is needed in a courtroom, or even in the SO or PD. Is there a Border Patrol office in your town? Could you offer your services there? Keep trying, ask questions, get your foot in the door and hang in there.

there are probably positions you can hold in a non sworn capacity. being sworn i am sorry but you will not make it.just call or apply at these places.you never know because they need help and you might get in.hearing is very important.
