Why is willie nelson's arrest a misdemeanor & disguised by press?

Willie nelson could be the center of a grass roots movement to legalize grass because of his recent arrest for 1and a 1/2 pounds of pot and a small bag of shrooms. how can he be so powerful to have a felony arrest dropped to a misdemeaner charge and to change this headline news into almost non-existant back page news that was also only tickertape news on cable news.. How did the idiot state trooper gain access to his bus and find the stash? Why would louisiana bust the same man who came to their aid for the katrina fund? How and where can one find a followup on this story. Why would a man who's smoked with a certain president on the whitehouse balcony choose to turn this into a rallying point for ending the drug war circus? Why didn't that president, a supposed Rhoades scholar and purported 180's i. q. ever do any thing about the law's that have devistated his generation? Is there a blog dealing with this sort of matter? Why, in fact, does our entertainment community dodge this issue?

because all 5 parties pleaded guilty to possesion of the pot, there was no intent to distrubute charges, which is a felony, that how it was reduced to misdameanor. as for why it's back page news, who cares? certainly not the public, it a 10 second news bite and then on to bigger news ( like the recent spate of school shootings ), you know how the media operates, if it bleeds it leads. Now if Willie has a shoot out with a tropper and killed him and then of the course of the investigation he was found with 20 kilos of peruvian blow and was a ring leader of child pornography and a secretly registered Republican on the house and ways and means commitee and was key in steering anti child porn legislation and had ties to top government officials.. then yes it would be top story.

Celebs are always getting the charges reducted or drooped.In Willies case he already owes so much back taxes he could not pay any big fine. The government owns him. as for that president who smoked with him ( this is the first I heard of this) I wonder if he inhaled.
