How many turned to religion?

What has your God(s) done for you in your life. I'm talking something tangible, something others can understand.

For me, the very fact that I did not contract AIDS as a young, sexually active, drug addicted teen in the mid 80's is a testament to God's grace.

when my wife was pregnant, she was bleeding heavily and ready miscarry for the third time. I went to a room and pleaded with the Lord for the life of my son. Within an hour, the bleeding and cramping had stopped. At our next check up, they told us the heartbeat was back to normal and there was no sign of any trouble. Samuel is now 18 months old.

You cannot tell me there is not a God who answers prayers.

...or a testament to random statistical coincidence....

Given me life. Given me my 5 year old brother. Given me a wonderful husband who treats me like a queen.
Shown me the straight path and guided me to Islam.
Given the talent to write.

Something didn't happen, and that is evidence for God?

God has done a lot for me lately. Every time a turn around there some horrible thing waiting for me. I freak out, I try to figure out what I'm going to do, but it is not until I ask for help that things start to come together. My life is far from perfect, but MAN, it could be so much worse!

Luck of the draw, what would you say of God's grace concerning those young, sexually active, drug addicted teens of the mid 80's who did contract HIV?

well that is great, but what about all the Christians dying right now of dreaded diseases? WHERE is their miracle....you know it was just statistical equation that you got through it....you can thank GOD if you like that is fine, but I would just be grateful...many die who are totally right with GOD, many prosper who have never stepped foot in a church.....I count MY blessings but I don't attribute them to GOD anymore than when something bad happens I blame GOD also....

Your own testimony is not very tangible either. I have shot up heroin off of a used needle from a guy who later turned out to have Hep C. I am disease free. I put that down to random luck as there would be no way at all to prove any God had anything to do with it.

I can feel my faith physically and feel comforted, which is like an adrenaline rush when I think about Him, I don't preach to other people about it, or try to 'make' them believe, but it's something I feel sorry that people who don't believe can't feel. I don't mean that in a patronizing way, faith to me is something you can feel inside, it is something tangible, but not something that is easily communicated to other people without sounding, as Tony Blair put it so nicely, like a nutter!

The Lord has kept me from dying a going to Hell, even thought this is what I deserved. Moreover, He has made it possible for me to live in Heaven with Him forever!
