Axl RoseW. Axl Rose is an American hard rock singer and songwriter. He was born William Bruce Rose, Jr. on February 6, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana. His mother remarried when he was an infant and changed Rose's name to William Bailey, using the last name of her new husband Stephen Bailey. At the age of 17, he readopted his name William Rose, and would later legally change it to W. Axl Rose.

He is best known as the lead singer of Guns N' Roses, and is the only original member still part of the band's line-up.

No, he was just featured in an article in People magazine getting in a fight with Tommy Hilfiger earlier this month. He has grown a beard and has his hair in braids. Not the same cutie from his glory days in Guns and Roses.

Just his career. Playing with a bunch of hired guns in Brazil once every five years doesn't constitute a career and getting decked by Tommy Hilfiger seems to be the only kind of publicity that he can generate nowadays.
