Please help me. Why are my teeth are disappearing?

i have been to several dentists mostly because i move around a lot.

i keep mentioning how i believe i am losing my teeth. they used to be very large. now they are nubs, particularly my molars in the back. my last teeth on the bottom jaw, i can actually feel my gum.

i grind my teeth. i have a mouth guard.

something is happening to my teeth to make them disappear. i have mentioned this to the dentists and they tell me nonsense. and that my teeth do not look like some people's teeth (those who have aids, on drugs, or in poverty).

but i sincerely know i am losing my teeth.

what can i do? i need someone to help me. i feel like my concerns are being blown off.

i dont want to lose my teeth.

is there any kind of specialist i can go to by myself? i dont want to go to a cosmetic surgeon because im afraid to get ripped off and also to have my teeth made worse.

it reminds me of a time i had a cavity. i was told i didnt have a cavity. then it got a lot worse.

thanks for any help.

thanks brave. i really dont want to take any medicine though. i have tried valiums and another drug and i dont like them because they stay in my system for a long time. and then i gain weight.

i grind my teeth too.... :( it sucks.

i would advise talking to a therapist about anti-anxiety medication if you really feel like everyone else is just ignoring you...i used to get migraines and my bottom teeth are cracking from grinding so much....now i'm on an anti-anxiety medication and i do yoga and meditation and it seems to help a little....nothing has really made it incredibly easier (i tried mouth guards, but they just make me feel like im going to gag) my aunt also used to grind her teeth, and she got fitted with something called an NTI device...i dont know much about it though...

good luck! grinding reallllllllllly sucks, i feel your pain!

weeeeeeeeee i can fly LOL!!!! ha ha weeeeeeee dat is good. lol

Do you drink a lot of OJ or acidic drinks? Do you take chewable Vitamin C tablets? The acidity may be wearing down the crowns of your teeth and then grinding is just making it worse. Maybe you should get a second opinion from another Dentist.
