How can I get financial aid in Texas while being a convicted felon(it was a drug charge, if it matters,..)?

try for scholarships that call for an essay written about a "tragedy" in your life..

write about what made you do what you did..and how it has shaped the most tragic part of your life...

what you hope to learn from it...

and what you see that it can do for your future...how you may shape your character differently b/c of it...

Don't reckon its possible uuhumm...Laws ought not punish a remorseful man fur tryin to get his life together ..uuhhumm...But I reckon you better stick to scholarships or private loans...like through Bank of America ur sumtin ur nuther....uhhummmm.

There is lots of help for convicted felons in Texas to continue education. To the person who said you can not. There is only you can when it comes to education. I am a convicted felon from Texas. I have a BS in mechanical engineering.
Try TRC. You can even contact your parole officer she/he may be able to help with some answers. You can also talk to some of the local colleges around you. They have lots of info on grants and student loans just for convicts wanting to better themselves.
