Should I just become a Drug Dealer too??

It seems that they live much better than I do. I have a friend who I鈥檝e known since middle school and we still hang out sometimes even though we have different philosophies. He became a drug dealer and I became a college student. I always thought that I was doing the right thing, but when I go out with him sometimes, I see how good he and his drug dealer friends have it and how miserable I have it.

They all have nice cars, tons of money and the best looking girls. Me?... I鈥檓 broke, drive an old car and I never had anything close to the girls they have. Yes, I have girlfriends, but they are lame and uptight and unexciting. They date chicks that are hot, sexy and every man鈥檚 dream. Some of these guys are in their 30鈥檚 and they are ugly and fat, but they have the nicest looking girls. They drive brand new BMWs, convertible Lexus and my friend has a brand new Audi A8. I drive an old Prot茅g茅 with over 200K miles and no A/C. I don鈥檛 even have money to eat sometimes; I can鈥檛 remember when the last time was that I filled up my tank to full.

I didn鈥檛 even get any help from Financial Aid because my mom made $32K last year 鈥?too much. I have a pathetic part-time job, but the little bit I make is swallowed up by my bills from tuition, to books, to rent, to gas to food. I have bills coming out of my ***. Not to mention that I鈥檓 torturing myself with all the anxiety because of exams etc.

My friends don鈥檛 have any worries. They laugh at the cops and they take trips to Miami, Texas, Atlanta etc. while I sit at home and eat Ramen noodles.

Here I am, getting up at 6:30 every morning to make it to class at 8:00, without even $1 in my pocket, while my friend and his friends sleep until 3:00pm, eat the best food, have money to burn, drive nice cars and have the hottest chicks.

I always thought that I was smarter than my friend, but perhaps I鈥檓 the idiot. I have to be. Why would anyone choose my life over the life these guys have?

Now, you know better than that. I just read about a good man, someone who trying to achieve a goal. With goals are obstacles to test strength, to separate the men from the mice. This is the first thing you need to do, you need to readjust your financial status to "independent" you are no longer a dependent of your mothers. If you buy your own food and pay your own bills, then your income is the one that should be considered. You will wind up getting books and tuition paid for if you do it that way. Eventually you will have to bring in your W-2, pay stubs, bills that are in your name as "verification" into your schools financial aid office. you can fill it out as an "independent" which is the key to the money* FYI, if you anyone applying have any drug related charges they can be turned down. They also fund work-study money~ You can study, do work study, and have a reg job*

"My friends laugh at the cops" well you ever hear that expression "laugh now, cry later" that's pertaining to them. Don't get so wrapped up this kind of easy come, carefree lifestyle because it always catches up with people. In my job, I've seen the outcome of young men who get caught up in the fast lifestyle of drugs, and believe me it is not pretty. I've seen 19y.o. males die in my care because a gunshot wound to the heart or head was too traumatic to overcome. Life is more than cars, girls, and money. Those thing bare no longevity. I think you are smarter, simply because you have so far, refrained from selling drugs. That makes you the stronger and them the weaker. They are succumbing to impulse. You are noble and you are a fighter. I would choose your life, every single time opposed to theirs. Don't lose hope, for years will go by and you will look back and laugh at this silly idea. I think that you need to re-evaluate the life your leading and the one your friend is leading. I also feel that you two have nothing in- common and that you need to break free from his influence.
He's weak and greedy and impulsive, everything you are not.
It is sad to say but your chances for to attend a funeral have increased so much, just by your friend getting into the drug life. The flip side to the money and girls is the guns, the violence. Your at a difficult situation. If you leave him, and he gets arrested, your a rat and he will hunt you down. Slowly get away from him, till he forgets you. Drug dealing involves gangeters, guns, gangs, shooting, etc, that black pepople think its cool (heck, it is cool. but i just dont wana get shot)

No. Dont be a drug dealer. REason: When your arrested, your SCREWED. you wont have a life no more. Criminal record, cant leave your state, country, no more jobs available, etc. Your on petition too. Also, you get shot. a lot too. You dealing wit people wit ak47's . You dont do what's right, your dead.

I've know prosperous drug dealers and it will eventually catch up with them. He is doing life for his 3rd strike. Hard work and good effort make everything you earn better and you will not have to live in fear of losing your freedom.

Your dealer friends are living a puffed-up life making themselves rich on the misery of others. Imagine how great that must feel for your friends, knowing that their fancy breakfast is being paid for with the wracking pain of heroin addiction by a 13 year old prostitute.

I bet that makes they mama's real proud of them.

Or knowing that while they are watching DVDs and driving around in their Beamers, the people they drive by on the street (who they are selling to) would rather DIE than continue to be addicted to the poison they are selling.

You on the other hand will make an nhonest living, not live off the pain of others, and will be at peace with your conscience.

I'd say that's a pretty good deal for you. Keep your heart strong and recognize that you are working to suoprt the hopes and dreams of tomorrow's children. Your drug dealer friends are hoping for those kids' death and suffering.

Don't become one. It may be fun then, but there is a chance you will be arrested. After that, you may be living in hell. Stay in college and graduate. You will live a better life once you graduate and someday you can laugh at your friends ruined lives. It may not seem like it now, but they will lose all the fun they are having. And you will have a job and be well off and happier than them.

You might want to consider changing your college if you feel that would be necessary to make this true.

I realize what you are saying, and it does hurt. I own a small business, and work 7 days a week. I am trying to keep up with bills, while trying to care for the ill people in my family. It is rough! Meanwhile, people who grow drugs in our area, come into the store with a BAG of money.........literally, they bring in a bag, like a big Safeway bag, and buy whatever they want, with cash.
Still, I do not envy them. Maybe, I am stupid. I believe that since I do not want my family on drugs, that selling drugs is really bad. I believe that growing drugs, so others may sell them to people in small quantities is very, very bad. I do like the fact that I can go to bed at night, NOT worrying if the police are going to knock down my door to search for drugs. I like that fact that I know my house won't be 'taken' away from me as part of a drug bust. I like that I can live with myself.
Growing, selling drugs is a real way to make money in my County. It is a complete lifestyle. I wouldn't want to marry anyone that I met IN this lifestyle, I wouldn't want my sons on drugs, I don't want my grandchildren to grow up thinking that 'money does grow on bushes'....................I may be old fashioned, but, I think going to college, getting a job, working for all I have, legally, is a success story that drug dealers will never have to be proud of.

Im 16 years old.In the last 20 years its become so musch harder to be a drug dealer theres snitches,cops and crooked people you cant trust if you go to college i guarantee you your life will be better.You will always have your knowledge and they will just have street smarts and street smarts dosent work everywhere.It may be really hard now but trust me when I say this it will get better.Trust it will get worse for them.You should read the book bodega dreams your life sounds like it

When you finish your exams and get a good job that you earned, you will have something to be proud of. The lifestyle your friends lead is a cop-out....for you it would be taking the easy way out. Don't give in, you are better than that.

And trust me, they are the ones that will lose out in the end.

Sure. Go for it. If you fancy your home address being that of a state prison. Didn't I see your name in the credits of the movie "dumb and dumber". You should have made enough money from your role in that movie, that if intelligently invested, would provide you with an income to use for the commissary at the prison.

Those guys have to look over their backs 24 hrs.a day 7 days a week waiting to be locked up. Remember what they are doing is a no win thing because they will get caught at some point. This isn't nothing permanent. An addict will kill you for those drugs.Your turn will come to shine, and the drug dealer will be in jail wishing they had your life. What would happen if someone died from your drugs. These guys don't last long they all in up in prison at some time. Do you think the police that risk their lifes everyday and pay taxes aren't noticing their activities? Of course they are, they want to know where your getting your money that your flashing. Hold your head up high and it sounds long-suffering but you are the winner in this case. Don't do it and keep praying because I feel someone as strong as you will be a success.

The reason people choose to live the way you do is that you probably sleep better at night. You haven't ruined someone else's life for the benefit of yours. If there weren't people reaping these 'benefits' from drug money, there wouldn't be people dieing on the streets from drug addictions. Not to mention all of the suffering that children and families go through if an adult in their life is drug addicted.

Your friends do have worries, they probably just dont know it yet. One of them will find out one day that the personn they're selling drugs to is selling them back to his little sister, who is prostituting herself to get the money..

No, do not become a drug dealer, that is crazy thinking! No matter how much material wealth your friend has , it won't to him a bit of good doing time in JAIL! Sooner or later he will get caught! You are the smarter one, your friend is the idiot!!!
