Is Wellbutrin a dangerous drug?

A couple of years ago I took Wellbutrin as a quit smoking aid, and remember some high moods and some unusually low moods. Has anyone else experienced this? And I have heard it is actually a very dangerous drug, and should not be used as a quit smoking aid. I have a friend who just started taking it to quit smoking and am wondering if I should tell them to be cautious if not seriously concerned.

Wellbutrin it is a anti-depressant.

I used it years ago to help me quit smoking and it really helped, I could not get a refill so I stopped taking it. I tried it again recently and I had panic attacks and couldn't stop crying. In my opinion it is very dangerous!

It is an antidepressant but when I took it to help when I quit smoking it made a normally happy person so sad I had crying bursts and so many down moments. I stopped taking it and felt better.
