There was actually some noise about this last year when marijuana advocates argued it was the equivalent of "double jeopardy". No, I don't mean the game show.

"Double jeopardy" is when someone is punished for a crime twice. So, you get a drug possession conviction, you do your time or pay your fines or whatever, and then you try to go to school, but... you get "punished" again.

Just Bush's way of keeping the down and out, down and out. He dislikes financial aid because it cuts into corporate welfare.

They want to rehabilitate people but refuse to let them live a normal rehabilitated life. Logic? From a Repubic?

Perhaps you could have an attorney have your record expunged so you could qualify. Bush had his drug arrests and DUIs removed from all official records.

Is just another way to cut people's freedom.

felons lose all rights period they broke laws end of story , to the brain trust that blames bush , this has been on the books for yrs, you need to learn your law history , felons cant vote either is that bushes fault , you ppl need to calm down , you break laws your rights are taken away the way its been long before you were alive and long after you die

No! You're just going to take longer to earn your degree. You'll have to work full-time while going to school with just one class. When you've saved up enough $$ to cover a year's expenses, then you can go as a full- time student again. Some people had taken an entire decade to earn a 4-year degree. You'll just have to be patient and alternate every semester between working full-time and carrying one class, then reversing to study full time when you've saved enough.
