Nelson Mandela and AIDS? |
Is anyone else as sick of hearing about the twin towers of liberal activism--Nelson Mandela as "saint", and AIDS as a social cause? Onyx: So AIDS is black now... thanks for the notice, you racist. Get over it and just admit that you hate anything black If I claim anythin, I will let you know, otherwise don't tell me what I claim, $** hole. Report It 1) Nelson Mandela is considered a "saint" because he was a major force is ending aparteid in South Africa. He went to jail for what he believed to be wrong: separting people solely based on their skin color. I would even personally put him on the same level as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Nelson Mandela spent half his life in prison for being an anti-apartheid activist and for trying to improve conditions for his own people. He's basially the South African version of Martin Luther King. Other human rights activists all over the world rallied around him and he gave strength to his people to hold on and continue their struggle. Since when is standing up for the basic human rights of your people the equivalent of "just sitting there". |
