How does a first offense drug paraphernalia charge affect my eligibility to receive financial aid? 19/f/wi? |
I am 19 years old i dont know but they ask you abotu drug charges when you appy for financial aid You ask a question and the best answer is "I don't know"? You could have said that yourself. Report It Come on.... JUST SAY NO !!! If you can get a government clearance after telling them you smoked weed in college, you can get financial aid with a paraphenalia charge. it all depends on if u were convicted for it or not,and if it was a felony charge or a misdemeanor.but most likely it shouldn't affect it unless it changed the income of your household,and it might influence the college financial aid board to think twice but i would just try explaining it to them Unless you're convicted of possession of a controlled substance, it shouldn't affect you at all. If, somehow, they spin the charge into a possession charge, your eligibility for financial aid will only be affected for one year, or until you complete an approved rehabilitation program. If you were convicted, than that shopws you are young and interested in drugs rather than educatuion. Therefore hindering your financial aid process. If you are convicted, that shows you're more interested in drugs rather school and are willing to throw your life away. So financial aid would be a waste of money on you. Only if you were convicted for POSESSING or SELLING illegal drugs would this affect your financial aid eligibility...this is question #31 on the FAFSA. So, this charge will not effect you whatsoever.
