What are the long term effect on veins and arm muscles after intravenous drug use?

effects on bones. any diseases it can cause later in life, even after quitting drug use.Not aids or hep c i mean like muscle and bone probleams PLEASE SERIOUS RESPONCE ONLY NO SMART *** COMENTS!

I dont know of any real effects on the bone and muscles, but long term IV drug use can lead to sclerosis of the vein that you use the most for your drugs. Sclerosis is a hardening of the vein, usually caused by scar tissue from repeated injections. The main side effect is that that vein will be nearly impossible to obtain blood from and to start an IV line into.

not sure about the effect on bones and muscle but I know the veins themselves will collapse making that vein useless from now on. They will eal but after repeated colapsing the vein will be destroyed

i think death is one of the long term effects of iv drug use.
