Financial aid for drug rehabs?

I have a friend who seriously needs to get into a rehab clinic, but he has no insurance. Do you know of any programs that offer assistance in paying for the rehab. Or how to go about finding one? I would appreciate any help you can offer.

I went to a residential program. The tuition was $700/month. You cant leave the property while you are there, & most women have families that paid for it. I did not & couldn't pay for it. But, I neede help, so they gave me a scholarship. I do know of 2 men's rehabs in GA that will give partial scholarships & give the men the opportunity to work off the rest of it. These two programs each have about an 80% success rate. It is hard, but well worth it!! The place I went to is just like to men's programs but for women. I have been clean & sober now for almost 3 years. Good luck!

pardon me? your "friend" could find the means to pay for enough drugs to get hooked on, but can't find the means to pay for his own rehab? sorry, no sympathy from me, and I doubt very much you will find anyone out there willing to finance his rehab by the same reasoning.

the only solorose... that's totally rude. I seriously hope you aren't a health care professional because you have no compassion. You don't know the addict's situation. Shame on you for judging. How do you know that the person isn't addicted to narcotic painkillers perscribed by the doctor? how do you know that they are even paying for drugs. I've known quite a few drug addicts in my life, and lots of them used to steal the drugs, steal other stuff to pay for the drugs, and sold their bodies on the streets. Apparently, you have never known anyone suffering from addiction... either that or you had someone close to you suffer from addiction and hurt you very badly and now you have no sympathy. I admit, that there are some addicts that I can't have sympathy for either, but only in certain circumstances. before you judge, why don't you ask details. Your little avatar has a nurse hat on... I thought being a nurse meant that you a caring person, but obviously you just like to judge people. I hope to god I never get someone like you taking care of me.

As far as the answer to this question goes, I'm sorry I don't know of any resources. I'm sure that some places accept payment plans and work off a sliding scale. Call some clinics in your area and ask if they have any type of financial aid.
