How have Aids, population explosions, drugs and environmental degradation affected the Latin American country?

AIDS and population explosions are primarily results of poor educational systems and the Catholic Church's meddling in national affairs. Since the Church does not believe in birth control, thousands of people risk the chance of getting infected with HIV. Furthermore, as population grows there is usually not enough resources to keep the population afloat, hence illegal immigration is the only solution as many migrants try to find a place where they can survive due to beaucracy.

Environment degradation is very serious problem. Haiti is the most illustrious example of heavy deforestation. The country has the lowest life expectancy, many mudslides, and higher temperatures than their neighbor, the Dominican Republic. Furthermore, with no trees for oxygen or for use in cooking food or building homes, that only leads many Haitians to use mud and tin for building homes and ovens.

Drug use is not as big as in the industrialized world however the drug wars and coca production have created cartels and helped influences politicians in such countries as Colombia, Peru, and Bolivia to work in the favor of cartels instead of their constituents.

I believe that this is a world wide problem that has affected human beings in general. Politians only use it for their own self gains and nothing else.
