Who owns Rite Aid drug stores?

Rite Aid. It's a public company based in PA.

It's publically held. You can buy stock; stock ticker RAD.

Rite Aid itself.

They were based in Twinsburg, Ohio. But I believe they moved.

The Rite-Aid people own it (well, the shareholders do).

Hi, you got me interested in doing a little research. Fascinating search, it was. I didn't know there was so much controversy about this company. The CEO and President is indeed Mary Sammons, but the Chairman over her is Robert G. Miller. If he owns the larger number of shares in the company, in a sense he's the owner. But the company is a publicly owned one.
I looked at www.hoovers.com and chatted briefly with a person who said he could not give that info to me but to call 1-866-464-3206. I don't know if that's a line for Hoover's to sell subscriptions for business info, or if it is a question line.
A few years ago Martin L. Grass was the Chairman of the Board (like Miller is) and was sentenced to a few years in jail for some false reporting. Apparently his dad was the original owner of the company and Martin had the largest number of shares during his chairman years. That's why I think maybe the current chairman has the largest number of shares too.
The answer to your question is hard to discover and may actually cost money. Interesting. Buttercup

The shareholders own it. I think it is mostly minority shareholders.
