Is it true that no anti-viral AIDS drugs are available in Africa???

If so why not, I think I read this somewhere, that can't be true, I thought Africa is suffering with worse AIDS than anywhere, clue me in if u know, thanks

I think the source of your information was dead wrong.
There are more ARVs in Africa than anywhere else. Even some countries like South Africa have started making their own ARVs that are much cheaper than the ones coming from the US and Europe.

A mojor number of most research and treatment institues are based in Africa so it would be really untrue to say there are no drugs. Then these institutes would be there for nothing.

anti-viral AIDS? hmm....AIDS is most predominate in Africa. there are no drugs available for AIDS. There is a 56% poverty rate in Africa, therefore leaving no AIDS education or prevention. Birth control and condoms are not available.

I believe there are alot of charities and organizations that are sending money and medicine to African countries, but each country might have it's own program or not have one at all. It's not like the United States.
