Life on Earth without dogs...?

If we were to imagine that dogs never evolved/existed on Earth and we received a message from another planet stating that extraterrestrial beings will be coming to Earth to willingly assist human beings to:-

*Help reduce drugs /illegal money imported from other countries.
*Assist in mountain rescue.
*To risk their lives for others to determine if a hidden bomb/explosive exists.
*Help to herd sheep to make our jolly farmers life easier.
*Patrol personal/business properties to deter burglaries.
*Aid Police Officers to catch crimminals by grabbing their arm.
*To swim in the sea with a orange float in their mouth to reduce human drowning.
*To help humans with disabilities such as the blind/deff.

Do you think we would be disapointed when the dogs arrived from another world as what they can do sounds more impressive then when you meet them in the flesh.

Yes,you're right, after that build-up we would probably think
we were the collective butt of some weird alien joke.
It's something else what dogs are capable of,when you put it that way.

I think life would be easier if the extraterrestrials would replace "dogs" as man's best friend.. Because they would give us a chance to accelerate our technology than the "dogs" can.. =)

Dogs are not only man's best friends, they are one of his greatest assets.

No.
