HELP! Question regarding revoking the parental rights of an adoptive parents who has fallen ill?

the story is:
paternal grandparents adopted two girls about 7 years old. Since that time, the grandmother (now 70!!) ...listed as MOTHER on current birth certificate, was struck with a STROKE 5 yrs ago and is paralyzed on one side of her body. A fire KILLED the grandfather (other parent) 1 1/2 years ago. Also, the "home??" was riddled with gangbangers, drug-dealing, drinking, weed-smoking and lots of violence with each other! Today, girls are with the biological mother's sister (the maternal aunt). Since the grandfather is an invalid now and unable to care for HERSELF, her daughter is the POWER OF ATTORNEY.
To get any aid for the girls (medical, funds, etc) social services said the grandmother has to relinquish her parental rights. We tried to communicate with the family yesterday, and it was very HOSTILE. Of course, we already told the social worker that would happen!! AND, the daughter has actually moved with the grandmother with NO FORWARDING ADDRESS. HELP!!

having been almost there im to bet that she is still recieving payments from whomever and dont want to relinguish her rights to the child.seems like you could put an ad in the paper and if she dont come forward you would get your rights but no.maybe you should report fraud to the child welfare and see what comes up.she probly is getting payments
