I am 28, a single mom and I am living with my mother because was trying to get my degree?

My mom and I have had problems since I was young, she said she didn't like me since I was born and she should have had an abortion, but she has helped me since I was pregnant and when I was 13 left me in Ny with my brothers father who adopted me, but I chose to move to Florida where she was to be with a man to stop using drugs. I moved out when I was 17 but she had helped me on and off until I got pregnant. I changed my ways, I stoped drinking and drugs and started reading and applying what I learned in the Holy Bible. I am in the process of trying to find my son's father, I was only with him that way once and he doesn't know of my son I don't think. My son is 3, I lived with mom since I was pregnant, I was taking as many classes as I could sometimes with or without financial aid. I still have 2 years left until my degree. I have helped my mom out some with money, caring for my sister who is now 13 and helping her out when she had surgery and was not doing well.

My mom has had problems since I was young, she was abusued when she was little by her dad and she was abusive to me.
That is not so bad, but she did go around with different men and drink till she passed out, but that wasnt' very often. She did try to commit suicide when I was about 13, but I was not around. Now that I live with her, we argue alot, she says she just doesn't like me and she doesn't love. But sometimes she says she loves me. She moved to Florida from ny when I was 13, and I moved down here 2 years later. My real dad I only knew when I was an infant, so I came down here to be with her and to stop using alchohol and drugs I was using up in Ny. I moved here and her boyfriend was so abusive, he punched my in the face and lied about me and I moved out when I was 17 because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I should have gone to college, I made a mistake.

Hun , I am so sorry to hear about your situation .
I was recently able to help some one off of craigslist .
Sounds like staying at your aunts is your best choice, I would get a small paying job that you can work your way up , Get hooked up with the Government- as they sometimes even will pay your Babysitting .
As for your mother, she is unstable and will be sorry soon enough and will want you back . She only sad she doesnt like you because she is sick. My mother is BP also, I am a little - not enough for meds. It runs in my family.
Do what you can , Good for you to reach out to the Bible, please continue to go to Meetings and take your son. Threw Hard times God is there with you. Read the Book of Job in detail.
Thankfully you have a Car, take good care of it. Keep up your insurance , save some money now , a little at a time for new tires and oil changes.

Your doing a fantastic job. It isn't easy for anyone to sand there and do the tough love thing. I commend you.

Have you looked into programs like WIC or checked with social services and your university for programs that will help with child care while you are at school? I don't think moving to New Jersey is a bad idea. It gets you away from this current situation and puts you where you will have some family support. You could also check on moving your credits to a school in New Jersey so that you didn't have to leave in the fall.

You can do only one thing in this position... change your religion. Become a Muslim. Because Muslims look out for each other, well the good ones, ofcourse. There are black sheeps in every comunity. But Muslims do take care of each other. Just go have a look in their community if you can...
