Evidently spending hundreds of millions, upwards of billions, on domestic issues is a bad thing....but if you spend that money in other countries to help with their issues....its a good thing.

I don't get it....I guess welfare for those who can vote is bad, but welfare for those who cannot vote is good.

Ryan, we have an impending social security crisis, a retirement crisis facing baby boomers, a housing crisis that is still healing, etc.

Why should anyone in our govt advocate spending hundreds of millions on ANOTHER foreign venture when we have so many pressing needs facing our own nation and economy? We cannot keep diluting the world with our dollars, thats been one of hte problems of recent years.

Giving just money to take care the border violence (drug war) will not help, as the money earmarked for the war-chest would only end up in Mexican Politicians' Swiss bank account.

There must be a better way, effectively, to help the mexican govt curb the violence and prevent it from spreading across the border.

One minute we should just say "screw you world", and not help anyone. And the next, we should willingly bend over to help them out.
It's a lose lose situation, and the people crying so loudly over these issues do not understand politics.

**Person under me: I agree, we should be spending our money elsewhere! I was trying to point out that nobody is ever satisfied with where our money goes. Whether it be off American soil, or on the streets of our meanest cities, there will always be a better place for it.

I think we need to send Mexico a bill for all the money their wetbacks cost the US.

Yeah who thinks for once that the Mexican government is going to use that money to STOP drug trafficking?

I'd give it to keep the illegals out.
