Angels in America: I understand why the woman addicted to Valium hallucinates, by why the two men with AIDS?

In the movie, Angels in America::
I understand why Harper Pitt (played by Marie Louise Parker) has her hallucinations - she's addicted to a drug called Valium.
However, i don't understand why the men Roy Cohn (Al Pacino) and Prior Walter, who both have AIDS, hallucinate and see things that are not there? Is it because of their medicines, or the Kaposi Sarcoma? Please explain.
