What do you think of LEGALIZATION!!?

i don't just mean marijuana i mean all drugs from cigarettes to heroin.

here are my points-please read before commenting

1.) if you look at any study done on a country that has legalized the crime rate dropped dramatically.(because people don't have to steal to pay for an expensive drug(only expensive cause its illegal)

2.) a huge drop in the fatalities caused by drug Over Dose
people die from drugs because they over dose (the reason they overdose is because they might get heroin cut 1/8th by a dealer and have to use 20ml,, and then buy from another dealer that cuts 1/2 and uses the same 20ml and drops dead
If the government regulates drugs (there quality,quantity, and potency) then people wont over dose and they wont get aids from sharing needles.

3.) Instead of the government spending billions of dollars every year on "the war on drugs" they could tax the drugs and make a killing. (imagine, lower taxes for you because drugs are paying most)

4.) In countries that have legalized drugs they reported not having significant rise in the amount of drug users

i did not add the studies because they are easy to find... but if you think im making it up, look it up be for commenting

hey wanna know ... wanna know somthing first off not at kid second alot of those drugs were made illegal before the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920's

another thing when alcohol was prohibited there was a very large group of people that consumed alcohol making it harder to control.

the MAYHEM you refer to was the cartels/mafia dealing these drugs(including alcohol) since it was made illegal these where the only people to get it from... making them powerful and dangerouse

alcohol one of the most dangerous drugs is legal... dont believe me www.fda.gov

As long as the government union remains the single most powerful lobbying group in the nation, no way will common sense and logic come to prohibition.

No way will government voluntarily shrink.

No way will the bogus forced detox industry go away.

No way will the pharmaceutical companies allow competition.

We will bankrupt the country trying to enforce & control personal choices.

Nothing you said is incorrect, but it will never happen in this country. People who claim to be Christian would never allow such a thing to happen here. By legalizing they assume that means that it is condoned. No politician if they want to be elected or re-elected would ever support such a measure. Too bad, because he would be way better than the system we have now.

We've been there and done that kid. There was so much madness, mayhem and murder that cocaine, opiates, marijuana, and alcochol were all declared illegal during prohibition. History tells us that your claims are inaccurate.
