Why is it always 'Mike Vick or PETA'?

Have you noticed how Mike Vick cultists try and use a 'divide and conquer' strategy in their shameless quest to get the evil Vick back into the NFL? They try to blame Vick's problems on PETA nut-jobs.
Here's some news for you Vick Kool-Aid drinkers:

99.9% of the people who don't want Vick back in the NFL are NOT whacked-out PETA people! In fact, this is the ONLY issue I've ever agreed with PETA on, and sure hope it is the last!
Stop trying to insinuate that anyone who doesn't want Vick back is somehow a PETA loon!

P.S. How come Vick cultists only mention 'dog fighting' and never mention the torture, the killing, the illegal gambling and drug dealing operations that Vick was funding? He had a regular little Gambino Family operation going on down there in Newport News.

Vick pleaded out so fast because he was facing 20+ years on RICO charges- the same type they use on Mafia families! he knew he would be convicted so he took a great deal. Yo must be one of those clowns who stlll thinks O.J. was innocent just because a racist jury let him go!

I'm with you 100%. I'm not a PETA freak but Vick should not be back in NFL. Pete Rose was banned for life for gambling. How is gambling on dog fights any different? I didnt read where it said you can not Legally gamble if you play professional sports... COME ON PEOPLE!! Wake up and realize that unless these sport figures are held accountable for their actions, you will have more Vicks, and Pacmans, and Tank Johnsons. etc!!

I agree that Vick apologists are trying to demonize anti-Vick people by associating them with the nut-jobs over at PETA. I really don't think that most people are buying it: they want Vick gone for good from the NFL. Let him see if the CFL wants dog-killers. I wouldn't pay a nickle to watch him ever play again, and I'd help with a campaign to make sure he stays gone.

I actually agree with PETA on one thing, and that is the guy in new york who tortured a cat. he should have been guilty.

When there's no rational argument for something or someone, some people think the best way to try and make their case anyway is to start making things up and hope that no one calls their bluff.

Was he convicted of Illegal Gambling or Drug Dealing? I thought he was convicted of Animal Cruelty and such. You can't punish him without the conviction.


He killed some dogs and he has been sent to prison for it. I thought that the whole point of going to prison was to "pay your debt to society". Once he gets out, he should be free to go back to work. His crime was off the field, what cause is there to NOT allow him to go back to the NFL?

He killed dogs, not humans, there IS a difference. Keep it in perspective.


ADD: I am saying that the man was found guilty, punished and should move on. We are not talking about Adolf Hitler or Charles Manson. He was convicted of killing dogs and he did his time.

Mike Tyson was convicted of raping a woman and was allowed to come back and fight, how are you going to say that Vick should continue to be punished for killing a few dogs. The difference, of course, is that Mike Tyson committed his crime against a human (she asked for it, so he is still an OK guy). But Vick killed an poor innocent animal so he should burn for eternity.
