Good Idea Or Bad Idea? Adult opinion please.?

Do you think this is a good Christmas present. I Need a lot of answers, I'm begging.?
I'm 14 years old. My brother is 21. He is is a lot of debt right now, about $15,000. His girlfriends mother has a disease. It just like aids expect, when you have AIDS it gradually gets worse, till you die, this disease (I forget the name) Starts off bad and stays that way. She has to take a shot every few days. A one month supply cost $800. Her husband became a drug addict (about 10-12 years ago) and used up all there money, and then left without saying goodbye. She has 2 children (in there early 20's), there trying to help her, but they don't make enough money to pay for there expenses. So Karen (the sick mother) can't pay her own rent to buy her shots, with out her shots she literally can't move because shes so weak. So then My brother ends up paying her rent to so she can get her shots. He's a college student working on his graduates degree, doesn't have a job (he had ecoli and got fired for missing work). He can't afford to do that.

So my question is Do you think this would me a good gift. I was think of making each of my family members a card that said "this is Karen, she has so and so disease, instead of me giving you a gift this year that you don't really need, the money that i would usually spend on your gift is being given to Karen for shots so she can stay alive. Something like that.

I've never bought anything with my allowance (except gifts for other people), so I've had it for a long time. I usually buy Christmas gifts for my family, then save it in my parents checking account, so I can buy people bigger gifts next year. I have about 700 dollars saved. I could probably come up with the rest of the money. I was thinking of paying for a month of shots for her. I found out about her disease yesterday and I feel led to do this. What do you think. By the way, I've never met her, just my brothers girlfriend, and his best friend (her son and daughter).

do what you'd like but I'd suggest you talk with your parents first because that is A LOT of money to just give someone you don't even know. And personally, you don't' know if your brother will even end up staying with this girl in the end- so if they break up two months from now you will be out all that money in the end. you shouldn't have to pay for this ladies medicine- there are government assistance programs she can get on to help with rent and medical needs- she should be doing that herself not you paying her debt for her.

This is a very generous gift. I'm sure it will be greatly appreciated.
