Can my situation get me any kind of aid ?

Here is my story : I was born addicted to herion, & a failure to thrive baby. im adopted and am homeless. I live with a friend rt now and have to be out shortly. I cant afford an apt on my own and am trying for a room mate but i heard from a nurse that since i was born addicted to heroin i may qualify for some aid in living. ? What is she talking about ?

Your birth problems have been resolved. You do not need help from them right now.

There are programs for native americans. It depends on what tribe you belong to, you need to talk to the elders of the tribe to find out what they have going.

If you are not a recognized tribal member you will not receive any services.

I don't think there is anything for your birth problems they are long over now. My great niece had failure to thrive too but she will be 10 this month and is thriving now.

Your tribe might have something for you they would each be different.

Try finding a room on Craig's list or roommates. If nothing else consider joining the service they will give you room and board and education with some money but you may have to go to war.

Look for a job as a live in nanny or housekeeper or apartment manager.
