Is Drug-Aided Interrogation Torture?

With all the torture-talk lately on the news I began wondering about what exactly is acceptable during interrogations. While things like walling and water boarding are forbidden in the Geneva convention, are drugs? The techniques used at Gitmo used fear and pain to get information, all truth serum does is make you "loopy", and makes your lips loose. But is it torture?

If you look it up torture defines itself as:

1 a: anguish of body or mind : agony b: something that causes agony or pain

2: the infliction of intense pain (as from burning, crushing, or wounding) to punish, coerce, or afford sadistic pleasure

3: distortion or overrefinement of a meaning or an argument : straining

If it isn't causing pain or such incredible discomfort I don't believe it would count as torture. If the person's information is being used as-is then I don't think it can be qualified as "overrefinement" either so... no, I don't see it as being a form of torture.

It's pain free, but unethical.
