Limewire isn't working help!?!?

So I went to open Limewire the other day to download a song, and it said there was a corruption in the download. But I had it downloaded on my computer for a while! So I did what it told me and deleted that version and downloaded another. I goes through the entire process of downloading perfectly but when I go to open it, a screen pops up and says:
"Fatal Error!
This is Limewire. The official website is www.limewire.com Limewire has encountered a fatal internal and will now exit. This is generally caused by a corrupted installation. Please try downloading Limewire and installing it again. [which i have done about 5 times] To aid with debugging please click 'Send' to notify Limewire about the problem. If desired you can click 'Review' to look at the information that will be sent. If the problem persists, please visit www.limewire.com and click the 'Support' link. Thank you."

what am i supposed to do i have tried this a ton of times and i really need some new music!!

hmmm .. also try removing and re-installing and updating your JAVA

because java is needed to run limewire and sometimes outdated java and broken javas can affect softwares that partially depend on it.. like limewire :D

or if all hopes is lost.. you can try web - based p2p sites to download those songs for free.. like

Limewire is an old application that is based on P2P principles, it has now been replaced by Bit-torrents which are meant to be more secure and less prone to viruses. Limewire is still used and indeed at present is still sold, however, Limewire is been faded out gradually and the change over from P2P moves to Bit-torrents. Eventually all support for Limewire will be revoked as there is currently a new application in Beta testing that allows you to search and download Bit-torrents with out the need of an Internet browser.

Having said that it is advisable not to use either P2P or Bit-torrents because the risk of infection from these sources is extremely high and even higher for P2P based software such as limewire and I believe that at present it is not possible to interrogate your firewall with either the P2P software or the new release of the Bit-torrent software currently been tested.

Well I know I'm not going to be chosen best answer for this but it really is a good answer. Don't use limewire, its mostly illegal and its use makes your computer highly vulnerable to viruses, trojans, spyware etc... Go legit, get an Itunes account or napster or any of the legitamate pay per download sites. Itunes is your best bet.

try different version of the song u downlaoding. but if that doesnt work try other sites and programs.here is a list of stuff to try:

mp3000.net(they will give you a whole bunch of sites here)
mp3shits.com
you can also try certain programs such as kazaa(just google it) hope it helps
