There are many metaphysical predictions for the year 2012.

Some are predicyting the end of the world, and others are predcting some great transformaion in human conciousness.

What do you make of all this?

2012 is sometimes claimed to be a great year of spiritual transformation (or apocalypse). Many esoteric sources interpret the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar (which occurs on December 21 by the most widely held correlation) to mean there will be a major change in world order.

Accordingly, several eclectic authors claim that a major, world-changing event will take place in 2012:

Been around long enough to see the fallacy of "1984", then the panic that set in due to "Y2K", now "2012", going to be another no nothing year on the calendar. Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary.

itll be weird to see what happends, so many people cant be wrong?

unsure what I think of the predictions, but planning my wedding for 12-21-12 so if it is the end of the world, guess I picked the wrong man.

these are all only predictions. in 2000 many people thought the world was going to end and all the computers would blow up, did it happen ? NO

I disagree with Mal777, so many people have been wrong, who would have thought that we could be talking from this far away just 15 years ago, even this was unheard of. Who would have thought that America would have become what it has, after all, we are one of the youngest nations compared to Russia and China....so in conclusion, I think that this many people could be wrong...

Well, with all of those predictions you listed, one or more of them is bound to be correct. Just kick back, relax and observe the events during the countdown. It's going to be fun!

seeing as there is a chinese calendar which says it is year 4704, a jewish calendar which says it is 5674, and the gregorian calendar which is the most widely used, which says this is the year 2007. who says that that number is anywhere near correct, it is a bunch of bull crap made up by christians. the year 2012 means nothing in the eyes of the planet, for it is the year 4,247,682,007 some odd years old. Humans think they know and can predict things, but we dont know crap.
The only thing we truly know is that we know nothing for certain. 2012 will just be another trip around the sun, no biggie

please the world not going to end in 2012. but think about this back in the day when people were saying computers are going to crash and the worlds going to end in 2000, did it , no. and its the same with 2012. All these predictions about 2012 were most like made up by some wack rich people sitting in a trick apartment bored stupid. So they gets off by scaring the crap out of folks like you and me. but that just my thinking.
