It seems to me that the prophecies about 2012 actually predict good things to happen. They talk about great leaps and transformations for humankind.
So why all the fear and anxiety?
All the other stuff, like Peak Oil and Timewave Zero is just stuff that modern people have made up and convienently decided will happen in 2012.
There's really nothing to worry about.
And the whole idea of a planet on a collision course with Earth was totally discredited years ago.

2012 is sometimes claimed to be a great year of spiritual transformation (or apocalypse). Many esoteric sources interpret the completion of the thirteenth B'ak'tun cycle in the Long Count of the Maya calendar (which occurs on December 21 by the most widely held correlation) to mean there will be a major change in world order.

* The book The Orion Prophecy claims that the Earth's magnetic field will reverse.
* The 2005 book Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Ecstasy by Geoff Stray reviews several theories, prophecies and predictions concerning 2012 and finds where authors have used faulty information or have bent the truth to fit their theories.
* The 2006 book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl by Daniel Pinchbeck discusses theories of a possible global awakening to psychic connection by the year 2012, creating a noosphere.
* The 2007 book Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation into Civilization's End by Lawrence Joseph does not make any specific new predictions, but it reviews a number of 2012 predictions made by various sources, and presents arguments for the possible existence of dangerous positive feedback loops involving solar storms, Earth's magnetic field, cosmic rays, hurricanes, global warming, earthquakes, and supervolcanoes that may be on the verge of erupting.
Other prophecies and apocalyptic writings and hypotheses for this year include:
* Terence McKenna's numerological novelty theory suggests a point of singularity in which humankind will go through a great shift in consciousness.
* Some proponents of a peak oil catastrophe place major events in 2012. Richard C. Duncan's book The Peak of World Oil Production and the Road To The Olduvai Gorge claims that the Olduvai cliff will begin and permanent blackouts will occur worldwide. I don't know where all this doomsday rubbish keeps coming from, as most spiritual people believe it to be the new beginning...
It has been called "The Shift" or "The Great Change", it is the end of the Mayan calender, and at 13 baktuns, the calender re-sets back to zero...
Some people believe that we will start to merge with the 5th dimension, and we will lose our physical bodies and return to being ethrical beings, as we originally were before Lemuria, aka Mu and we will stop reincarnating here on Earth as we have abused this planet to almost exhaustion...
The Mother (Earth, Gaia) needs to purge herself, cleanse herself, and we will continue to exist as we have done since the dawn of the 1st Universe...
We have the entire multidimensional Universe at our disposal, as we always have...
Blessed Be... )O( we'll still be guessing I don't think anything will happen. People have made many prophecies about the end of the world and none of them have come true. Its like Y2K, silly and pointless, I try to ignore it and go on with my own life. I could give you just as many books that say the opposite, but I don't feel like typing all night. The fact is a major change will arrive as of Dec 21, 2012. So believe what you want. There is a object about the size of jupiter's biggest moon which is going to collide with the earth's orbit in 2012. They think it might hit the earth. And if it does, the earth gets smashed but good. Or if it comes too close the earth gets wrecked too.
They say people can begin to see the object around 2010. The folks "pushing" the 2012 thing are the same ones that
"pushed" the "Harmonic Convergence" back just before the
Y2K global high tech "meltdown".
What people don't seem to get is that the "Harmonic
Convergence" occurred during an astrologic Grand Cross...
which was/is an aspectual indicator of an Ending as well
as hardships and extreme efforts never coming to fruition.
I haven't had the time to check the astro chart for the 2012
thing...but I suspect it'll be another "fiasco".
Further, there are supposed to be records extant of the Aztec
priests Omens taken prior to the arrival of Columbus...which
were announcing much the same thing. But "new eras of
peace" normally occurs on this plane after a period of
military consolidation. Think about it. Because the squeaky wheel gets the most attention...... I predict that in 7770 on july 7th the would will still be here but we wont The Mayans and many others have predicted such things as "major change" and "spiritual transformation" and "global awakening" but who ever said that these words are things to fear? I think it is just those who are afraid of change, that fear such things. Personally? I think they are good omens.
For example. Many would say, but look at all the wars, shootings, and chaos! Yes, all this is true. But the way I see it, the world is just getting rid of all these things that will get in the way of the positive engergy that is coming. What comes after war, shooting, and chaos? Peace, compassion and order.
Also, in numerology, 2012 is a number 5. Five is the number of change. Does change mean death and chaos? No. It simply means change- a shifting of ideas and events.
Last thing- I could not help but notice that there are so many out there who are more spiritually attuned, more enlightened, more aware and it's spreading like wildfire.
In the end, everyone will believe what they want. I however, just wanted to point out that there is just as much evidence of 2012 being something to look forward to instead of something to fear. I believe 2012 will mark the beginning of change.
The world will come into a new spiritual awareness, but NOT before a time of trouble to cleanse the earth. When most things reach a new cycle or undergo a change there is usually a time of pain or discomfort when going through the change, the world will be no different.
2012 will not bring anything dramatic but simply the beginning of things to come.
2012 is when the Antichrist will first show up. Of course it will take him years to gain power, so any type of World War will not start until about 10 years later. In 2012 he will simply start to gather steam and gain followers in order do his intentions. The Antichrist appearance will mark the beginning of change that will happen. |
