HELP!!!Think I screwed up chance for fafsa money!? |
I applyed for two colleges and sent off my fafsa information before the deadline.One of the colleges sent me papers showing me how much I would get in financial aid so I assumed I would get something in the mail from the other one.I was looking through my college papers again and noticed that it said on the one that I was suppose to check my student account daily to see what my fafsa status is.I checked it today and it said it was waived.Have I totally screwed my chances for financial aid.Will they change the status if I call them in the morning? Just give them a call. It sounds like you applied for aid on time. A lot of schools do everything online now, explain to them you did not realize it. If you are enrolling there, they should reinstate your aid package. They should understand that students are bombarded with mail this time of year. Of course they will! You've probably just missed the deadline. Call them and explain what happened. I'm sure it will be fine. Depending on the institution, it should only take a few weeks to transfer fin. aid info to the other school. My transfer school did it in only a week, and I thought I was screwed sort of like you. |
