I need help finding governemnet funding, Please?

My Grandparents are homebound and need help doing everything from making it to doctor's appointments to grocery shopping and cleaning. Everyday things well and able people tend to take for granted. For about two years now I have taken on the responability of taking care of them. I do absoultley everything for them.

I don't mind doing any of it at all for my Grandfather raised me since I was a baby. But I was told that I can get Government aid through California state for helping them. I am having a hard time finding the things I need to fill out or any information at all. I would love to be able to keep doing this for my Grandparents without monetary support but lets face it.... gas is expensive!

If anyone knows where I can find the information please help me out here! Thank you!

They do but being that they are so special to me I would have a hard time asking them to pay me. I mean if the Government is willing to pay for things like this then I would like to take advantage of it. I am a 19 year old college student after all.

Don't spend your time looking for Federal or State government programs - they allocate money for these services to the counties and cities.

You need to go to your city website and look for the Department of Human Services. They should have information about their assistance programs on the website, or at least they will have a telephone number.

Also, go to your local phone book and look up "nonprofit" or "charity" organizations. Many nonprofits provide elder care and assistance. It really sounds like you need some help - good luck to you and your grandparents.

Don't they have any money?
