What is the economic debt Europe owes Africa?

For centuries the big European nations, Britain, France, Portugal, Holland...had colonies in Africa right up to the early 1980s. They mined gold, copper, diamonds, platinum and took resources from there for hundreds or years. Now that Africa is in trouble and is again indebted to the IMF , who is going to take account of the wealth that has been taken from Africa? how can Europe claim to be champions of democracy and justice when they refuse to acknowledge or pay reparations for their part in colonialism. The peanut offerings they give in aid are nothing compared to the debt they owe Africa (interest excluded) and it is more out of guilt than good will that these countries give aid....to keep Africa quiet. When will human right and civil justice lawyers go to the international courts of justice for an enquiry to be made about just how much money came from the colonies? Europe should be repaying their debt to Africa. The freedom of information act which should release this information.

Even today most mines are still owned by Anglo-America.

Yes European nations stole from Africa (and the rest of the world). But who will reimburse the Romans for the invasion of the Visigoths, or the British for the Roman occupation, or the Scottish for the British invasion? Will the Zulu and Ndebele repay the Mashona and Tswana for the actions of the empire that existed in Southern Africa when the British arrived? Will the Dahomians repay their neighbors for selling them into slavery? Will the Hutu repay the Tutsi for the years that they collaborated with the Belgian's? And what of the Kikuyu and the murder of British during the Mao Mao?

History is littered with examples of injustice. Let's move forward and not look back.

Should the US Govt. be paying African Americans because to slavery? Should the US Govt. pay the American Indians for all the land they lost? Should Spain pay back most of South & Central America Indians? Should the US Govt. pay back Africa for stealing & enslaving their people? Should the British Govt. pay back the Chinese for turning half of their country into oppium addicts? And list goes on & on. The only way Africa is going to fix itself is if Africans want to fix it & not the white man.
