What were the three main causes for the great depression? |
i need information over the great depression and what programs hoover provided to aid people? stock market crashed, the banks closed and people had no way to get to their money, people lost their land. there was nothing great about it and if it happens again it would be catastrophic. ( I personally freak out when the power goes out or oh damn the CABLE. I wouldnt be able to talk to you delightful people.) Some causes were the money spent on WWI, people investing more than what they had in stocks, and overproduction. Hoover did not really provide any support for the people in the Great Depression. That is why the slums they lived in were called Hoovervilles. He believed the government should stay out of the way, which was not such a great decision at the time. It was when FDR came in that things began to pick up a bit. The real thing that brought us out of the depression was WW2. |
